1. Smaller Guest Lists

Guests lists are easily one of the biggest stressors when it comes to wedding planning. Who should you invite? Who shouldn’t you invite? With minimalism and details becoming more popular, couples are focusing on a more curated experience with fewer guests. Should you invite that aunt you haven’t seen in years? You don’t have to. A smaller, more intimate event is just fine!

2. Unique Food

More and more couples are straying away from the traditional 3 courses. Instead, they are now opting for an array of different things from grazing tables, pizza buffets, Sushi and Asian food stations, Popcorn bars, oyster bars! . Couples are choosing more casual food experiences that resonate better with their personal preferences.

3. Non-traditional Venues

With the growing trend of pop up weddings, couples have gotten super creative with their venue choices.. Barns, industrial spaces, even historic libraries are now being used for weddings. We even have a bride getting married in a gorgeous bar with a bowling alley this Summer! Who knew?

Of course, no two bridesmaids are the same, so why should their dresses be? Brides are choosing to approach their bridesmaids about their dresses in a variety of new ways. With saving money always being the goal, brides are giving their bridesmaids the colors & letting them pick a dress that fits their budget. This is becoming more popular as it allows the bridesmaids to embrace their own style.

5. Desserts Other Than Cake

Cake has always been a traditional part of weddings but couples are now putting a spin on that, too. Large dessert tables with an assortment of goodies are now being found at weddings. DIY dessert stations; donut walls; macaroons in rainbow colors; and of course cupcakes are just a few of the yummy options! Couples are now purchasing smaller cakes for just the bride & groom and have the dessert table for guests. What’s your favorite dessert?

As we said before, the possibilities for your wedding are endless. There are so many ways to make your big day perfect for you and your partner.

Happy Planning!
